So I'm starting a blog... It's been two weeks now since j0nathan asked me to write a blog on relative.nl. Quite an honour to be asked, but what am I going to write about? Relative.nl is a community dedicated to the spread of open source, and I can wholeheartedly subscribe to that goal. But I'm not a software developer. So what do I write about?

Think of me as a consumer of open source products. And as such, I do run into questions surrounding open source. An questions I have plenty. Why were the first netbooks equiped with Linux, while now you can only find them running on Windows? Why is every Apple gadget hyped to huge proportions, while the similar products are already on the market for years? Why does everyone still use MS Office, while OpenOffice does the same for free?

So, I will write from my own experience and observations and hope that you will enjoy reading. And perhaps you can help me to some answers while you're at it!
